My husband mother in law & I went there for breakfast on mother’s day. My mother in law got greasy burnt eggs cold toast and my Husband got burnt hash browns burnt black. Omelet had mushrooms in it when my husband said no mushrooms. My husband told waitress he didn’t want it ir anything else. Waitress said she still had to charge 1/2 price even though my husband didn’t eat any of it. When we went to pay my mother in law asked manager if we could have a conversation with her? She said yes but your not gonna like what I have to say. Manager told cashier across the room to take out ticket and that we were never allowed back. I guess when you get burnt food & not what tou ordered you get kicked out!10 May, 2015Mother’s day. Went with my husband mother in law & my daughter. When he received his food hash browns were burnt black & omlate had mushrooms in it husband said he didn’t want it or anything else. Waitress said she still had to charge 1/2 price. I guess because food was Burnt & mushrooms in an omlate that wasn’t supposed to be you get kicked out.
Hooked on the Fish and Chips. The fish and chips was very well done. Batter crispy throughout, without being overcooked. Large portions, great value. I typically order this when I go to new places that I might be returning to, since this is a entree that is often over or under cooked. So well done, had to go back. The other two times I have since been I have ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and The Philly Sandwich. All three times I have been to Russel’s the service has been prompt and attentive. Dining room is dated but always clean. The only criticism that I would have had was the bathrooms (important as a father of two toddlers). However, the last time I went the restaurant was in the middle of a professional remodel for the men’s and the women’s restroom. Russell’s is now a regular stop option on any road trip that takes my family through Salina.
Terrible place. Terrible food. Terrible service. Waited for an hour for an omelet and burnt hash browns. Then another 15 at the counter to pay. Ended up just leaving money on the counter. Luckily I’m a good person, or I would’ve diner dashed.
Food was overlooked, then sat till cool. NOT good eats. Mediocre service. Off my list.
The food is terrible It’s FULL of grease. It is too expensive. I will never go back there again……
The portions are huge! The omlets are very greasy. Overall the food was okay. I didn’t dislike it, but I would have rather gone to McDonald’s.
They have the best omletts and serve breakfast all day.
