Best authentic around, same servers for years. However, obvious they have changed the base of their marinara to a lower quality puree which is disappointing because it was the richest, purest and best!
My family went there for the first time tonight in the hope of finding some Italian food here in Wichita that could be called Italian. Once again, disappointment. Defazio’s uses little to no italian herbs. I little bit of parsley for color and the smallest amount of garlic on their garlic bread, which I am not even positive there was any, maybe I was just hoping there was some. Where was the garlic? Basil? Rosemary? Not at this restaurant that is for sure. So those looking for true Italian flavormove along.
Honestly very disappointed. The pizza is subpar with ingredients that are definitely not fresh. The only reason we finished it was because we were starving but I could get better pizza at papa johns and I don’t necessarily like them. It lacked any flavor the crust reminded us of cheap frozen pizza. We drenched it in red pepper flakes and parmesan to make it remotely palatable. The service was ehh, barely came by to see if we needed anything else and when we complained about the quality of the pizza they didn’t seem to care. Oh and they charge you for cheap mints which I think is ridiculous. Will obviously not be coming back. Oh and if you do happen to want to try this place bring a heavy jacket everyone was complaining about how cold it was and they didn’t seem to care.
Italian sausage manicotti…..is the bomb.com…….. One of the best Italian restaurants in Wichita, Kansas. Their pizza comes anyway you like it.

To be customer. Called to place an order for 15 people for the holidays for a Monday luncheon. Person answering the phone was not friendly and very snarky stating they have not been open on a Monday in 20 years. And when I asked about Tuesday, he said we are not open on Tuesday’s either in a very disgusted voice. I was only ordering from DeFazio’s because of recommendations. I have never eaten there, nor will I after the attitude from the person answering the phone.
