This place is a heart attack waiting to happen, but it is delicious food. Its a place I enjoy, but I rarely go because the food is too fattening. This is a place to remember when I want a rare but memorable lunchtime splurge. It is also a splurge lunch place because, with a tip,it cost $19 just for me!
Excellent food and exceptional service. Comfort food at its finest. Try the breakfast burrito with half green chile and half sausage gravy. This place Rocks!
What a cool, iconic place! If Doo-Dah Diner stays the course, they will no doubt become a multi-generational classic. They are already woven into fabric of Wichita and by the looks of it will not easily become unraveled. I had the corned beef hash. The onions were perfectly caramelized, the chunks of corned beef were nicely seared, crusty and moist and the potatoes nicely browned. Well done!!! My son enjoyed his Brutus crispy hash browns topped with sauted onions, country-fried steak, sausage gravy and two eggs. Lots of comfort and joy! My wife enjoyed the Tanyas Benny (Benedict) basically a well-executed Eggs Benedict with thick sliced maple-pepper bacon. The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit to Wichita… We will be back.
We went there on a Sunday morning about 9am. We got right in, but by the time we left, there were quite a few waiting to be seated. They have an all you can eat on Sunday mornings, for 20.00 a person. We decided to spend the money since we had always heard fabulous reviews about it. The hostesses were extremely friendly as soon as we walked in the door. They explained how it worked on Sundays with the buffet before we were seated. Drinks are included in the price. Good coffee, flavored creamers on the table, but also brought us regular creamer. Lots to choose from on the buffet. Best biscuits and gravy I think I’ve ever had. Awesome burritos, awesome bacon, awesome grits, lots of fruit to choose from all wonderful food. They also have an omelet menu that they will custom make for you that you can order from when you are seated.
Great place to have brunch with family or friends. The food was amazing, a little bit on the expensive side but it is still worth it. The bar has different options to choose from, it’s not as bad as cafeteria food but it could definitely be better.
This place was AMAZING!!!! My hubby got the Triple D with biscuit and gravy. I got the chicken and waffles. Of course I sampled some of his food. Everything was delicious. By far the best restaurant we’ve been to so far.
Gotta love little mom n’ pop places like this. Great twists on breakfast classics as well as new dishes. Also, every order comes with a bowl of monkey bread! Who doesn’t love monkey bread as an appetizer?? The prices are a bit above average competed to other places in town, but I think the food, atmosphere, and service is well worth the extra cash. The place gets real busy on the weekends, so we had a wait a bit, but they have a large waiting area and kept us comfortable. We had good food, great service, and best of all, we had a good time! We will definitely be back soon.
