Ingenius. This place is great!! It’s reasonable (~12 a bowl) that you create yourself so if it tastes bad-it’s your own fault! What an ingenious idea! You can choose to have white rice, fried rice, tortillas, noodles, udon noodles, etc. basically you can decide to have whatever style you could want too. The meat comes in chunks (way better than hu hot) and there is always shrimp!! Highly recommended.
Worth waiting because the veggies, etc are actually cooked vs. hu hot
A bowl of mush. $12 for a bowl of vegetables, rice, and poorly prepared meat. I will only eat here when my BFF takes me and offers to pay. I won’t waste my money!
Wanted to love this place. I had heard great reviews of Genghis Grill on Rock Road from family members and so was highly anticipating my first visit. Here are the positives from that visit: nice restaurant design, good variety of fish, vegetables, meats, sauces etc., not very crowded so no wait while filling our bowls. The negatives? Eating ice cream with a fork (really, you don’t have spoons??) Also, while it took only a few minutes for our first bowls to be delivered to our tables, when the few people from our group went back for a second bowl it was nearly fifteen minutes and we had to go get our own food because it was getting cold on the counter. Also, although it was an hour and a half before closing when we finished, half the dining room had been cleared, swept and mopped in the midst of people coming in and eating. Here’s my overall impression: a nice concept, good selection, service slows down near closing time, seemed like too many young workers without mature supervision.
Not the best place to try with kids. I had to feed them another meal after dinner. I spent $60.00 on dinner and another $10 on my way home.
Good food but….. The process takes entirely too long. The food tasted good but the line and the wait for the food to be grilled was a beat down. An hour and a half for the dinner and it wasnt even prime time or a weekend night.
