Meads has wonderful atmosphere and staff, but their coffee is just bad. Like I’d rather get my coffee from Quik Trip and then go sit at Meads… Their Italian Sodas are great, but the coffee is a bummer.
Terrible drinks for a coffeehouse. If you want to experience the worst drinks in Wichita, come to Mead’s. Seriously, this is the worst coffee and hot chocolate my friend and I have ever tasted. The cafe latte was burnt tasting. They made me a second cup and it still tasted burnt. I only took a sip and left the rest. My friend did the same with her watered down hot chocolate that tasted like sugar water with some weird flavoring that is not hot chocolate. Price was the same as Starbucks, so I’ll stick with Starbucks since theirs is at least consistently good. The atmosphere is very nice, though.
Terrible coffee. Worst I have ever had.
It’s noisy, slow, and usually crowed with people came out as if it were their office. The coffee is alright at best, and the drinks are not very original or flavorful. The baristas are mostly upset about one thing or another and will argue with you about the drink you should be getting.
Genuinely friendly. The very young staff are mature, service oriented and very congenial. The best service experience in a 200 mile radius. I am a regular and these kids impress me and give me hope for the future.Some negatives; there is no ventilation hood and the panini toaster creates a bad odor throughout that will soil your clothes within 10 minutes of sitting in the cafe. Internet speed is slow.Note to management: get a gratuity cup. Many patrons want to support the staff.
I’ve been there three times and each time I had slow and unprofessional service. An employee argued with my friend about how she drank her expresso. I’ll keep my business over at Caffe Modern.
