Love the atmosphere, and the service is generally fantastic! Very personable, and speedy. The food is also great—the chicken salad sandwich is legendary, and all ice cream treats are the best! We go there frequently, & have for 20+ years!
This place is a staple in Wichita. Their chicken salad sandwich is the best in the Midwest. Sometimes I’ll get it on a bed of spinach. They also have daily specials. I don’t typically get these but whoever I’m with occasionally does. They’ve all said great things about it. Their tomato soup is pretty good too. They even have milkshakes and ice cream sundaes. The Sundays are pretty tasty.

Even so, we only had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated at the counter. The service was good, the food was excellent, and you can’t beat the ambience of an old place like this. I already can’t wait to go back for just the ice cream. Try it out!
