Good food. We have been going there for years, every chance we get. lately it seems like there is much stress/anger in the air, which is not very appetizing. the food is still very good. beautifully ornate building.
Recommendations from a Former Server. I’ve worked at Thai Tradition before and I’ve visited many Thai restaurants in Wichita and across America. Thai Tradition has been my absolute favorite Thai place to dine in. When you walk in, there is a dim atmosphere that’s designed to have a romantic feel. The menu is quite extensive for appetizers, salads, soups, house specialities, rice dishes, noodle dishes, fish dishes, curry dishes, and a full-blown vegetarian menu towards the back. Some recommendations from a former staff member:Appetizers: Beef or Chicken Laab, Crab Rangoons, Crying Tiger Beef, and Egg Rolls.Soups: Chicken Kalanga, Thom Yum Chicken or Shrimp, or the Seafood Volcano has the most flavor. Some milder soups would be the Three Kings and Thai Tradition Soup.Salads: Papaya Salad and Mint Beef Salad all the way!House Specialities: Mother-In-Law Beef, Great Eight, and Seafood Volcano.Noodle Dishes: Pad Kee Mao (Drunken) Chicken, Beef, or Pork and Pad Thai Chicken AND Shrimp. For the Pad Thai to be in your favor, suggest to the server that you’d like the noodles to be al dente with a thick orange sauce to pair with. That way, you’ll get it the way you prefer!Rice Dishes: All the rice dishes are mind-blowing, but my personal favorite would have to be Pineapple Fried Rice.Fish Dishes: The three flavors are sweet, sour, and spicy. It’s the most similar to what you’re used to in a sweet and sour dish at a local chinese restaurant. Entrees: Thai Tradition Cashew Chicken or Phad Prig Khing. PPK is a green been dish that pairs with a dry, red curry paste sauce. It is best served with beef in my opinion, however, you are able to choose between beef, chicken, or pork for the price listed.Desserts: Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango or Sweet Sticky Rice with Custard and the Gabana Banana’s are another favorite. It’s Fried bananas laced with jackfruit and condensed milk drizzled on top. Vegetarian’s love this restaurant! Any dish is capable of being tweaked to your preference and the spice level is the most tricky. Always order mild-med if you like a little spice to your dish. But for those who are a little more adventurous, here are the levels you need to know:Mild, Medium, Hot, Thai Hot, Chef Hot, and Kay Hot.I hope my review was helpful. Enjoy this restaurant and say hi to Kay for me!
Best Thai food I’ve had since california. Don’t go anywhere else
