I really like this restaurant and it is one of the most South American places in town. I really recommend it. However, over the last few months they have a new owner. The food is basically the same. However, I think that they have changed the salsa to something much more bland and inferior. Otherwise, an amazing find in a small town!

One of the best restaurants in BG. The area abounds with Mexican restaurants, many of which are great, but this restaurant has Salvadoran influences that make it somewhat unique for south central Kentucky. The quality of the food is excellent, the service is friendly, and it’s in a really convenient location. Perhaps the best thing about El Rinconcito is how affordable the food is. I would definitely recommend the food, the sauces they give you are excellent compliments to their amazing food. I’ll definitely be back, and you should go too.

Delicious!. I stopped at El Rinconcito for lunch. I had the pupusas with curtido and tamarind soda to drink. They were all delicious, and they didn’t cost an arm and a leg. If you want pretentious atmosphere, this is not the place. It’s comfortable and home-like – our server was friendly and helpful. I loved it, just loved it and I will be back again.

Unbelievable! I was sure food like this was gone forever in BG with the influx of corporate blandness. Authentic El Salvadorian food with the fantastic papusas and melt in your mouth tamales. Your table will buckle under the weight of the different sauces and garnished. It’s not much to look at, but man is it good.

Great unique food for a remarkably low price. Tacos and pupusas were very good.

Delicious and inexpensive!. I was so impressed by the cuisine here. The pupusas were absolutely fantastic! It was shocking how inexpensive it was, too. We will definitely go back.

Excellent Food. The Cocinara used to work at El Mercadito, so the food is similar, but the location is is more accessible. The Pupusas are teriffic as they should be coming from cooks who know their Salvadoran food. The prices are soo low it is shocking- get their quick before they raise prices! Since most everything is made from hand this is surprising. A multitude of sauces are served with the different tacos and Pupusas. A big bowl of cole slaw is brought out when you get the pupusas too. Not your typical American slaw, but this is the traditional version they serve with a little vinegar, jalapeno for spice, and toasted oregano which is a terific combination. Have not tried everything- YET!
