I normally love the food but I write this for BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. I ordered online and stated I had valpack coupon on my order. They would not honor coupon because they pay 10% apparently. That is not the customers fault and neither online not valpack state coupon will not be accepted.
Worst I’ve had in a long time.. Their prices are 40% more than most strip mall asian restaurants. The food was not only not 40% better, it may have been 40% worse. I ordered shrimp lo mein with extra vegetables for $1.00. It was a small portion to start with. The shrimp (medium-sized) were not deveined so I couldn’t eat them. The extra vegetables were broccoli and zucchini. At least 75% of the broccoli was yellow, not green. I know from personal experience this happens when broccoli sits in the refrigerator for a long time. The squash was mushy and tasteless. It seems like they just used old vegetables from their fridge to get rid of them. The sauce was thin and ordinary and the noodles were flaccid. I’ve been to other asian restaurants where they get their woks really hot and there is a pleasant char flavor to the lo mein, This was not the case here. If something as simple as lo mein is barely mediocre, what does that say for the likelihood that anything else at Chan’s would be good?
Had better. Tried this place for the first time tonight. The quality was very poor. I ordered pad Thai and it was very oily and soggy. My husband ordered General Tsos chicken and it was very chewy, low quality chicken. Service was good and fast, but had better Chinese food from several other places in the area.
For isn’t too bad but slightly over-priced. Especially the crab Rangoon. Make a smaller order of them as an option for those who only order 1 entree? Staff is kind of rude but Asians have a different temperament I suppose. I’m not racist, just saying they never smile in there and are very straight and to the point. Forget any friendly business…Gourmet Wok on MLC blvd has tastier Chinese food at about the same price. I like their Lo Mein much more than Chan’s.
Love It. This place has to be the best Chinese food in the area! I have been going there for a while and always love it. Sesame Chicken with steamed rice and a side of crab rangoon is my meal. Great atmosphere and love the friendliness of the staff. Will continue going there when I am having that Sesame Chicken craving!
Tonight was the first time Ive had Asian wok and the food was outstanding!! Between my gf and I we had vegie w/beef, orange chicken, egg rolls and egg drop soup. Really great food!
