First I would like to say that the service was excellent as were the drinks. The food was flavorful and portions were generous. The extremely disappointing part of the trip was the large bit of heavy gauge stainless steel wire, possibly from a fryer or straining basket, which was in the red beans and rice part of my Cajun Sampler. Had I swallowed that, I would have been in the hospital at this moment. My server took it back somewhere and I assume to a manager or chef, but NO ONE else came out to the table. Ive spent my entire career, 27 years, in the food and beverage industry and am certified in HACCP, FSSC 22K, a FSMA PCQI, etc. I know this stuff can happen but management needs to address the issue and not send some poor kid out to deal with it.
I have to say everything was great. Atmosphere service and food. We very much enjoyed our first trip here. We will certainly be back. My only complain is I wanted more!
Just ate tonight at a Knotty Pine. Food and service were good. However, because we were a party of 8, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. Server added the 20% in the meal AND the tax. This is WRONG! I thought the total was a little high. I didn’t realize this until after I got home. Make sure you review the bill and don’t pay gratuity on tax. This is bad business practice. I will NOT go back because of this.
The service was great and the food was even better!
Was in Cincinnati on business. Our vendor took us for dinner. We were there on Tuesday (crawdad night). We had the crawdad appetizer, it was huge and very good. Ordered the blackened sea bass with collard greens. Service was great and so was the food. We shared the opera cream cake. Words can’t describe how good the cake is. I would love to go back.
Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass and Collard Greens! Thought I’D Died and Gone to Heaven. and Save Room For the Key Lime Pie. Melt-in-my-mouth tender and juicy, cooked perfectly! Waitress recommended it and couldn’t have been more right. I want their collard greens recipe too.
Jim. Anticipating delicious Frog Legs and oysters was the reason for going. What a disappointment..Sauteed Frog Legs were, tough, rubbery and slimy with not much if any flavor. Nothing like I was served there a few years ago. Never again. Can’t say much for the so-called Oysters Bienville. Not much flavor and they were so small it would take four of them to match the size of one Blue point, (they were not advertised as Blue points) very expensive for the value received. Thank God my companion thought the Lobster Bisque was totally delicious. I would think that on a Saturday evening they would have their best cooks working.
