What a Wonderful little bistro, absolutely fresh and delicious food! The sampler was a great start with little bites of several different dishes including their house made pimiento cheese, fried wontons, pickled things, and several pieces of awesome country ham and some peppered salami… The fried green tomatoes are the best I have had since my mothers, garden fresh and fried right! The Turtle soup was terrific and very hearty, I probably didn’t need it because it filled me up, but glad I tried it, fabulous. Terry had the fried chicken dinner, I went with the chicken and waffle. The chicken was perfect, I can’t even make it that good and I am proud of mine! The Waffle was a pecan sweet potato with a bourbon syrup and bacon debris… Yes your mouth should be watering, I hurt myself by eating too much but simply could not stop! We both enjoyed our dinner very much and look forward to coming back soon to try more of the true southern favorites like the Po-boys, Grits, and Country ham biscuits. Perfect evening of good food in a cute and cozy corner bar… And the house made craft cocktails were wonderful too!
