Nothing Special. Don’t go for gourmet food but as far as something to hold body and soul together, this’ll do the trick. Wish there were more choices for eateries close by. We found the food to be much better than the hotel stay itself. Rooms are not much which is odd for this national park destination.

Dessert Review. Stopped in for a dessert, late afternoon. Had to wait while the cashier and server continued their personal conversation while we waited to be seated. Server took our order; brownie/sundae was very good. However, server never came back to check with us or bring us the bill. There were several tables that had not been cleared while several employees were talking loudly in the restaurant. We finally got us and paid the cashier–never got a check. Service was terrible. 1 star for the dessert.

Coffee Shop-Mammoth Cave Restaurant. The coffee shop is quaint, we sat at the bar and had great, fast, friendly service. I enjoyed the flavor packed pork sandwich with bbq sauce on the side and piping hot crinkle cut fries, really good. I tasted my husband’s side order of creamy pasta salad which was prepared al dente and had a nice flavor. We watched as one of the women prepared club house sandwiches within the bar, they looked delicious! She packed them full of meats, tomatoes, lettuce on toasted bread…yum! I will order one the next time we visit. The ice cold coca-cola was refreshing with my meal but they do offer beer and some wine. After lunch we toured the cave, it was all a nice experience!
