Very good meal. Fried Green Tomatoes were one of the best I’ve had and I’m a bit of a connoisseur of FGTs. I’ve even eaten them where the FGT movie was filmed. The sauce they’re served with is also great. The Roast Beef was the 2nd best thing at our table.Update 6-15-17:Country Fried Steak was amazingly good. Hot Brown was also very good. Love this place!!
Our third time visiting, and had a nice meal. Had the fried cod, sweet potato casserole and corn pudding. The cod was nothing special. The sweet potato casserole was very sweet and good. Corn pudding was also very good. I love the family atmosphere and the service was good.
The food is just ok. Don’t get the fried shrimp because they are just regular ole frozen shrimp that u can get out of the freezer section at Walmart.
We were looking for a local place for dinner and thought we would give this a try. GREAT pick. Great local food and neat atmosphere. We will be adding this to our list of places to return to. Had the fried green tomatoes and hot brown.
Food was decent. Atmosphere was neat. The wait for the food and to pay however, was ridiculous. Additionally, despite telling the staff at the start of the meal of no paper towels in the bathroom, there were still none at the end.
Super great, homey, delicious, and wonderful service! We are traveling and didn’t realize we passed over the time change line–they let our party of 6 in 10 minutes before closing and fed and served us well. Great, clean bathrooms (with character), fun stuff for people to look at, lovely work staff.
From New Hampshire. The one Resturant I miss being up here in NH is Back Home! I wish I could get home to enjoy all the yummy dinners and desserts! Always a great meal never disappointed 🙂 Stephanie Beane (Skees)
