  Worst experience of my life with any restaurant ever. Had a landscaping business and was finally done. Tried to put in maps a local Chinese buffet. Well it took us to the Chinese restaurant in the Kroger center by hooters. We got out and walked then noticed it wasnt the golden buffet. We see it finally and then decide to just walk on over to the golden buffet instead of driving. We get there and i start to pay I notice I left my wallet in my truck at the parking lot in Kroger. I tell the 2 ladies taking money that I will have to go back to my truck and get my money and I dont know if they thought I was going to leave but they said no come on and eat then you can go get it out of your truck. Well get done and start to walk out a huge guy stops me at the doors and says are you going to pay. I told him that I left my wallet and I cant pay until I go get it, I explained to him that they already know Im leaving because they are the ones who told me to go ahead and sit down then go. I was going to go right then but they are the ones who told me to go ahead and eat then go get the wallet. The huge bouncer Im guessing threatens me but I just keep on walking and try to explain sir I cant pay until I get my wallet. Well I start walking and not even a minute later my friend calls my and says they are surrounding me and said I cant move until you get back. The Chinese woman takes his phone from his hand and tells me that I Better Cme back rn or they are calling the police. Mind you that they are the ones who told me to sit down and eat after I was wanting to go get my Wallet to avoid this situation, but I thought they were decent honest people. I tell the lady I cant come back to pay until I get to my truck then I will drive there and pay you, like you just told me 45 min ago. Your telling me you already forgot what you told me in the first place? She just kept on telling me to not go to my truck and turn back rn or she will call the cops. I had to tell her multiple times to go ahead and call the cops because like I told you already before I have to go to my truck to get my money to pay you. Not to mention my buddy stayed back eating at our table to show them that I wasnt leaving anyways. But they made him stop eating and took his phone to talk to me. After we hung up they took my buddies phone and told him he cant get it back until I pay for my meal when I get back. They took his phone hostage, and he had already paid for his meal. So again they took his phone hostage who already paid to make sure I would come back to pay which was their idea in the first place. I finally got to my truck and went to golden buffet. Walked in, they still wouldnt give my buddys phone back until I handed them the money. Worst restaurant in lex and Kentucky. They think they can do anything to you when they are the liars! Please whoever reads this, even if they say its okay. Do not leave your wallet in the truck, even if they say its okay to eat first. They lie!!!!!

  Golden was no doubt Better than the other south lex Chinese Buffet on Reynolds, this place has a really good Food selection and some of the dishes were real tasty, but not without negatives. The way the place is layed out its too small and people are walking on top of each other. When we were there people were loud and kind of disrespectful. They need more room for the buffet lines and make sure patrons have there kids in check.
