If you are looking for consistently good Americana food off of Harrodsburg Road, then it’s tough to pass by this place. Always less crowded than Texas Roadhouse, we can normally be seated immediately and the service is friendly each and every time.The sweet corn fritters (crispy bites of sweet corn, served with a red chili ranch sauce), a fairly new appetizer, is a welcomed addition to the menu. Whether it’s a fresh filet (we love the Parmesan and garlic cheese option), hand-breaded chicken tenders or a shaved prime rib sandwich (topped with onions, mushrooms and Swiss cheese), we know it will be delicious.We recently returned to this location, and we were very impressed with our order. The service was slightly below average, but we otherwise enjoyed our meal. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken (crunchy Parmesan and garlic cheese crust), which was absolutely delicious. My wife likewise ordered the Parmesan crusted NY Strip, and ate every bit of it. My only complaint – my sweet potato was extremely dry and had been overcooked.
