8/28/2015 – I’ve eaten here a half dozen times since coming to Lexington. It’s a hit and miss with Mi Mexico at least with the food. The chips are good. The salsa needs some help on occasion. The sweet tea is not good.Probably the only consistent thing is bad service. I’ve not been in here one time where the service wasn’t awful. Today’s episode was unbelievable–let me be clear, the restaurant was not busy. It took a while to get chips and salsa. It took longer to get drinks, so long that we didn’t allow the waiter to get drinks without taking our entire order. And it took even longer to get the check.
Clean brand new Building!. The service was tops, the food was delicious and hot, clean and a pleasant meal. They accommodated a request for chimichanga one shrimp and one steak tips. The marguerita tasted as if it had some alcohol. The chips were hot and crisp and the salsa was not overly cilantro or heat. I enjoyed and I will return to the beautiful new building. The patio dining would be nice if road wasn’t your view.
New building… same great food…. Went back after the built the new building next door. Salsa is a little weak, but the Mi Mexico special is still killer.25 Apr, 2012Some pretty good Mexican fare. Try the Mi Mexico Special. It’s a combo of steak and chicken. The big thing here is you can count on even quality and service. When I can’t think of any place I want to eat, this is my go to place.
Salsa for chips was good otherwise yuk. Fish tacos with mango was nasty.
Great Lunch spot, quick lunch. Ordered off the lunch menu, chips and salsa to the table as all Mexican resturants do, the salsa was bland and was thin for me, I like mine chunky with some kick. Lunch was good and service was fast. I like the booths and the interior, plus it looks like when the weather is good you can sit outside, not much of a view though. I liked it and will return.
Cold food no flavor salsa. Went to lunch there yesterday 2-9-2012 and very disappointed. Took the waiter a long time to take our order, it was around 11:30 so it wasn’t rush lunch time. I ordered the chimichanga, small as 2 finger no meat hardly and it was cold on the inside. The salsa had zero taste and no heat or cilantro, chips had to be left overs from the night before. I won’t ever return
Pretty good Mexican fare.. The chips were warm and the salsa was good, with just enough heat and cilantro to keep it interesting. The Tacos Carne Asada were very good. They were well seasoned and the portion was large enough that I couldn’t finish the whole plate. Ask your waiter for a side of spicy mole sauce, it’s very good on the tacos.I have to add that this is the first Mexican restaurant that I actually liked the refried beans.
