This food took me back to the times of my Granny being in the kitchen all day cooking!! Great comfort food that made my taste buds VERY happy!! Quite a line but it was Sunday afternoon and a lot of families were eating together. I had the chicken, Mac & cheese, cabbage & the reasonable price included my drink!!
Stopped in solo for lunch recently and wow! What good food. Portion sizes are large and side are very well prepared and tasty. I tried the fried chicken and it was excellent. Counter staff is friendly but the guy at the register wouldn’t/couldn’t take the phone off his ear to actually give me (or my money) much attention. But it all worked out well.
My husband and I shared the buffalo wing dinner. It came with 2 sides and we added a third because everything looked so good we couldn’t decide. Definitely the best food on the Northside! The mac and cheese was over the top, delicious. The best I have ever had. Definitely will be back to catch the other daily special very soon!
The food is great here. Large portions and good price. Hot bar is where it’s at! They’ve done a nice job redecorating, too. Service is typically friendly.
