We went for a late dinner around 9pm on a weeknight. It was dead in there but the service was terribly slow. The food is average. I’m glad I had a coupon for buy 1 get one free large pizzas otherwise I would have been upset to pay full price.

Why do people eat here? We were told that our wait would be twenty minutes or so, which was reasonable for a Friday night; after more than thirty minutes, I approached the hostess, and when I asked her about our table, she thought we were a different couple, and I saw on her pad that someone else had been given our table (about five or six parties beforehand). When we were being seated, another host asked us if sitting in the bar area was okay, and when we asked for a booth (because my wife is pregnant and the high bar chairs are very uncomfortable for her), he said that the seating in the bar area was all that he had, and so I am not sure why he asked us in the first place. Our server was friendly, but distracted, and it took about thirty minutes for any food to actually hit our table. The appetizers were extremely disappointing, including sweet potato tots that tasted frozen and were served cold, garlic bread that was more pesto than bread, and one of the greasiest pizzas that I have ever eaten. We will never go back.

Terrible food and even worse service. Went for a birthday and it was ruined. Could not even get a drink from our waitress for twenty minutes. Food was cold, but had it been warm, it still would’ve tasted like the crap that it was. Will not return and do not recommend.

Love Old Chicago has the best pan and deep dish pizza around! Great atmosphere and great customer service. I highly recommend this place of business!

True Pizza the way I remember it in Brooklyn NY. Quality Pizza all the way and the crust was perfection. Server was very nice. I had also ordered a Calzone to go for my lunch the next day. Called my son at 2.04 pm to join me at the restaurant, but he could not. Left around 2:30 -2:35 and went home then realized I had forgotten my Calzone. By then my son was near the Old Chicago Pizza restaurant at around 3:14 to pick up my Calzone. I called the restaurant to let them know he was going to be right there to pick up my to-go order that I had left behind. They told me they through my calzone away and did not offer a replacement! It was a bit disappointing that they did not hold on to my take- out order no longer than 45 min to maybe one hour 15 min tops. Truthfully, I was very disappointed because I had already paid for the Calzone and so looking forward to enjoying it! I still had a wonderful Pizza and the calamari was excellent.

Being asked for an ID when you are 50+ years old isn’t the slightest bit funny nor complementary. Decent food but the fight over the ID for a beer kinda ruined the whole thing

Many of my friends love this place but myself I enjoy the thinner pizza crust. The Old Chicago pizza is usually on the thick side for the bread portion versus the toppings. I do on the other hand enjoy the selections in drinks and location is not bad.
