Orange Leaf – fun yogurt treat. Orange Leaf is one place in Lexington that is really flourishing and bringing life to our city. Lots of people go there to grab different yogurts, goodies, and treats. There are multiple flavors and you can actually do it on the cheap if you gauge it properly. Plus, the staff is really cool and you can sample everything for free before purchasing. Prices go by weight, so your total can range anywhere between $1-$10 bucks per person. Go in, have fun, enjoy the crowd, take the kids. You’ll like it.
Yum! Good stuff. Money.
Interesting place. The decor is a little surreal. For some reason it puts me in mind of the milk bar in a clockwork orange. The idea here is there are a bunch of different flavors of frozen yogurt and a toppings bar. You get as much of whatever you want and pay by the lb. The yogurt I got was good, the selections where vast. If you like frozen yogurt I would say this place is a must try.
Confused about the ascendancy of self-serve yogurt to dessert awesomeness. So I know Coach Cal was seen eating it once and I understand that yogurt is relatively healthier than ice cream, but I fail to understand how Orange Leaf creates bedlam around Tiverton on Friday and Saturday nights and is blowing up like Starbucks did when it first came to Lexington. It is as another reviewer wrote ‘just frozen yogurt’. I worked at a yogurt place as a kid, it isn’t sexy. It consists of pouring milky yogurt-gooness into the back of those machines you pull the yogurt from and voila! The DIY topping choices are cool, but I really prefer Naticakes off South Limestone if I need a frozen yogurt fix, they’re similar on taste and toppings (as fro-yo places are going to be), but they give a % of profits to charity and are not attempting to take over the [fro-yo] world anytime soon.
Not really my thing.. I probably won’t be going to Orange Leaf very often, but that is not a reflection on the place itself because if you are into frozen yogurt, it’s probably really nice place. They have around 20 flavors to chose from and dozens of toppings that you put on them yourself. It’s all self serve so you get exactly what you want in exectly the ammounts you want. Price is charged by weight. It was completely packed when I went, but they kept the line moving so there was very little wait.Overall, a very nicely run operation. Not cheap, but probably no more expensive than similar places. But frozen yogurt is ALL they sell so if you don’t want frozen yogurt, go somewhere else.
Yay for Oleaf!. I wish I could tell you all the things I like about this place but the review would be like 10 pages long. The fun flavors with seasonal funness, fun toppings, fun staff, fun online interaction…so fun. I might be a little addicted and I for one love it because it tastes like soft serve and not frozen yogurt.
Lots of varieties of yogurt and toppings!! Great for the price and low fat/ calories. Not alot of seating
