Hello, I do not want anything from this, but just wanted to comment on the last visit I had there, I have ate there many times in the past, but had been a while since we were there, my husband loves their food, and their beautiful big tomatoes they offer in the summer time… but…. my last visit was a big disappointment…My daughter and I came there to eat, my husband is not well so he could not come, we ordered it was on Friday of last week, I ordered chicken livers, mashed potatoes, and green beans, and fried corn, she ordered bbq chicken, mac and cheese and greens and fried corn.. Normally the portions are so big there is no way you can eat it all, but even with the portions we got I was very disappointed in the food, My chicken livers were good, but my mashed potatoes were cold and green beans were over cooked too soft. My daughters mac an cheese was not hot, the fried corn was not good at all, we left most of our food on the plates, I even ordered my husband chicken livers for home, they were to hard for him to eat his greens were not good, and got stewed tomatoes they were ok, I have never had a bad experience there, but this was not at all what I have had in the past, was very very disappointed, there were gentlemen there going around asking people how their food was and talking to others about ball games and etc, but no one came to our table and ask us, not sure if we will ever be back, but will always remember the past meals there… just don’t understand what happened this time I spent $45 dollars there that night….. not happy …Thank you.. billie
Used to be a good place to go. Going down hill big time. I will never return, cold food that should gave been hot and pissy attitude from waitress. I work in customer service and know what tips mean I actually left no tip.
You’ve been to one? You’ve been to all of them! This one seems a little less frantic than some of the others but the food is all just as good — in terms of the homed cooked style. Good hot brown.
Food is excellent and does not break the bank! I can’t believe that only 90 percent of votes liked it, should be around 99 percent! Can’t please em all!!!
Had dinner here on 14 may the bartender was great, the waitress could not have been better the food was so good If you eat here you will go home full and happy
Stop here every time I travel south. Really good home cookin! Everything is great.
Fond memories. I remember the original Ramsey’s when excellent meals were prepared on site. Now a lot of the food is prepared ahead in a central kitchen and is mediocre at best. The stewed tomatoes have onions and herbs – items that wouldn’t be listed in any southern cookbook. The hushpuppies – actually more of a corn fritter – have a great flavor and a hideous texture – gummy and under cooked. The breading on the fried catfish is tasteless. And my friend said the vegetarian vegetable soup had too much seasoning that resembled cloves?! Its sad when comfort food isn’t comforting.
