Not What it used to be. I ate at Red Lobster recently and was very disappointed in the choices on the menu that had been reduced as well as the serving sizes had shrunk. Prices had been raised. I will not be going back to Red Lobster since their changes to maximize their profit comes at a cost of their serving a good meal. No longer worth the price.
Disappointed. Four of us dined at 6pm on Monday, 1/28/2013 and was disappointed with most of the food we ordered. First the Cheddar Bay biscuits were hot and tasty but where’s the cheddar cheese? The four salads consisted of all iceberg lettuce and had very little vegetables in them. One would expect more from a highly advertised and expensive restaurant. My wife and I ordered their new Tilapia with Roasted Vegetables cooked in a tent of parchment paper. The vegetables consisted of 2 small pieces of asparagus, 2 whole green beans (not listed in the description), 2 or 3 tiny pieces of soggy artichoke (canned) and a couple of pieces of disintegrated tomatoes and onions. The fish, covered with three slices of lemon, was placed to the side of the vegetables and was bland, too moist, and had a woody texture. My dish was prepared with no rice pilaf. I had to ask for it! Overall, the Tilapia with Roasted Vegetables was too acidic, too greasy, and the fish was too bland and possibly undercooked. The dish was overpriced at $15.The Maple Glazed Grilled Chicken served with fresh, crunchy-tender whole green beans and rice pilaf was pretty good. The chicken consisted of 2 nice-sized pieces of breast that was tender and moist, and the maple glaze had a hint of cherry and smoke with just the right sweetness. The price was a little steep at $13. The 30 Shrimp Special (deep fried) for $12 served with French Fries was nothing to brag about. Our server was attentive, helpful and very timely. He made us feel welcome. Service was good but some of their food needs more attention.
Excellent. I hate to hear that this Red Lobster has had awful reviews. I’ve gone to this one 3 times in the past 2 years and I’ve always had excellent service and food. Especially this past visit, there was no wait at 5:30pm on a Sunday, greeted warmly. Our waitress Kristina was attentive, charismatic and just overall amazing. Our food is delicious and hot and they kept the biscuits coming in too!!
Not sure it’s worth standing in line to wait, then sit and wait. Not worth the wait.
Used to be….. This location used to be an old staple. Anytime you wanted great, fresh and flavorful seafood you could go here. I’ve been recently and I was sorely dissapointed. My biscuits and salad were good and that’s about it.
Canned soup and stale biscuits anyone?. Yet another local eatery that has gone downhill. This red lobster used to be pretty good, but is not any more. The clam chowder tastes like they just opened a can, dumped it in a bowl, and microwaved it. The last time I went here the cheddar biscuits where stale.I don’t understand how or why they stay packed like they do.
Go to Richmonds. I like the one in Richmond so much better…its more relaxing and the food is better….
