Well this is one place where anyone would kill to grab a table. Nothing less than spectacular. The food is simply awesome and lip smacking. Me and my colleagues had to wait for almost an hour to find a table but the wait was worth it.We were 5 people and ordered a lot of stuff and everything was tasty. Amazing!! A must visit restaurant for anyone visiting Lexington or nearby places.
Good luck finding a table at lunch time. Most days there is a line nearly out the door. Sometimes dinner time is the same, and they frequently sell out of their mainstays if you aren’t quick about getting there early.I typically order the chicken shawarma lunch special. This comes with shavings of seasoned chicken over a mix of rice, topped with streams of red onions and (guessing) cilantro. They offer a side of pita bread, a cup of garlic-based white sauce, a mixed greek salad, and the most divinehummus ever made. Seriously, I could eat the hummus by the cupful. They top it with some purple seasoning (unknown) but I don’t care what it is, it tastes wonderful. Everyone eats it differently; I like to smear my hummus on a half piece of my pita and top it with some rice and chicken, roll it, and eat it kind of like a burrito. The lunch portion is enough to feed two people or have leftovers for later. Thus, for the price (less than $10) two people could split it and still be satisfied. But again, I guess that depends on the appetite of the diner. Either way, it is a generous portion. It seems to be family owned with a few other staple employees who are all polite and hard working. The space is very clean and bright. They offer a wonderful, tasty variety of Mediterranean cuisine. There is outside seating when the weather is nice. It’s always good to check their website for operating hours as each year they shut down for a couple of months.
Food is good but employees are very rude, go other places in town for Mediterranean food it is just as good if not better and you will be treated a lot better!
Excellent food and good portions for a lunch menu. My wife and I were in town for an appointment and she picked it from the reviews and we both came away happy. We both got the lunch special, she went with lamb and I went with their chicken thinking we would plate share but we both ended up eating just what we ordered.I was a bit skeptical because it looked a bit like a Chinese take out joint with the layout and the work lunch crowd coming in and leaving with plastic bags, but there’s a line for a reason. We wish we could have sampled more of the menu after watching other plates passing by. We both have ate at fancier middle eastern restaurants but this was better than most and equal to the others.
Don’t know much about Mediterranean Cuisine but this is pretty good. Had a lunch special of Chicken Kabobs which really isn’t a kabob but was tasty and moist. It came with rice and a greek salad. Would definitely like to try other dishes (with caution… as I am a cautious guy!)
If you have not been here, it is a must. You will find yourself coming back a few times each week. Might want to pick an off time because the line will be out the door. Yes, it’s that good!
