This is the best fast food Chinese in Lexington hands down. The prices and quality of food are beyond expectation. Literally everything is good but I am partial to their Pad Thai. Will be back many, many times.
So we ordered our food at around 630 and chose for delivery. We waited and we waited. We waited until around an hour had passed, we called to see if maybe the driver had gotten lost in our neighborhood. The person on the other end said it takes about 45 mins for delivery, so we said ah ok must be running behind. We waited another 30 mins, and still nothing so we called again. This time they said that the delivery guy is outside and our food is there, we asked what the heck that meant. The person on the other end said they would check and call us back. So we waited another 20 mins, by this time my wife went out and got alternate dinner for us since we were never getting out food. After about 10 more minutes the driver called and asked if we were in the circle he was outside of, we informed him that we would not be paying for food that we ordered 1:50 mins ago. What is even worse is that I am afraid that the food had been sitting for a good portion of this whole ordeal and would not eat this at all in good conscious. We could have driven to them 5 times before we even knew our food hadn’t left their location.
I have eaten here with my family so many times since their opening that we have become friends with the owners. Amazing and fast service. Best food in Lexington.
Not good. This place is not very good. If you order delivery with a group of people, check your ticket because they will price gouge on your ticket thinking you won’t notice. My group ordered lunches at 12:00 noon and were charged dinner entree prices, even though we specified if we wanted egg roll/soup/drink. (Which we didn’t receive.) lunch price was $6.25, we were charged $9 and $10 and everything was tasteless. There wasn’t enough soy sauce or hot mustard in the world to give it any flavor. Believe me, there is a reason this place is NEVER busy.
This is my favorite fast food chinese place in Lexington. The vegetables always taste fresh. Favorite dish is the Peanut Chicken because it has a good balance of fresh vegetables (none of that canned baby corn) and NON breaded chicken, and the sauce is addictive.
Great Food!!
Not Impressed. I gave Shanghai Bistro three attempts to wow me with their food. Unfortunately, they disappointed each time. The sweet and sour chicken was just chunks of breaded chicken covered in sweet and sour sauce. The bourbon chicken was dry and tough. The sesame chicken was forgettable. Also, their prices are high compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Won’t be giving them another try.
