Based on impressive online reviews we decided to carryout chicken tikka, goat biryani and chicken bhuna with side order of bread basket. Chicken tikka (no masala) was a joke – chunks of (baked?) chicken with some sauteed onions period. Goat biryani was more like tomato rice (it actually had slices of tomatoes) nowhere close to the original recipe. Chicken bhuna was simply chunks of chicken with a generic sauce – again nowhere close to the original recipe. Bread basket usually comes with assorted (garlic, spinach, plain) naans – they only gave plain naans. Quantity was very less considering the $12+ cost of each entree. The carryout service was good.

Best of the four Indian restaurants I have tried in Lexington. Have eaten their combination platter for two on a couple occasions as well as chicken tikka masala when I am eating alone like the sad man I am. The combo platter is enough for two with some leftovers, it comes with two soups, chicken curry, lamb tikka masala, garlic/regular naan, a sizzling plate of chicken and sausage over vegetables in a skillet, and dessert for around $33. Their chai is good as well.Have not had it, but they have a lunch buffet on weekdays.Everything I have had has been delicious and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend whether you have a person to share with or if you are alone and watering down your chicken tikka masala with your tears.

This is my favorite indian restaurant in Lexington. The food is perfect every time. We usually get the vegetable korma, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, or some combination of the above with naan and pakoras and share everything. My favorite is the kofta tikka masala–it’s incredible. The onion chutney is crisp and perfectly spiced. Service is fast and friendly. This place isn’t much for fancy decor, but if you can look past that, the food is well worth it.

Very, very good Chicken Tikka Masala. The sauce is creamy and the chicken tender. I have been there twice, both times buffet (only $8 on weekdays, a good deal). I would have preferred the Chicken Tikka Masla to have been a little spicier, but understandably they don’t want to make the buffet version too spicy. Still, really good and I plan to go during dinner sometime just to order it to my preference. Naan and basmati rice all very good as well.Service is very fast and friendly, and the restaurant is clean and spacious.

Best Indian food I’ve had in Kentucky or any surrounding state. The owners are friendly, the food is excellent, and prices are very reasonable. Portions are generous – you are very likely to have leftovers. There is a cauliflower-based appetizer certainly worth trying, but I have yet to have anything here that could not be called outstanding.

Wonderful food. We had the chicken pakora as an appetizer. I had the Lamb Vindaloo. My wife had the Chicken Masala. Both were wonderful. The service was excellent. Very friendly and informative waitress as my wife and I are both still novices to Indian food. The garlic naan was also delicious! Will definitely eat there again!

Best Indian Food in Town!!. A friend and I went to Taste of India on a whim and it was one of the best restaurant choices we could have made! The chicken tikka masala is fantastic! Not to mention the service is excellent, and the servers are very friendly. You will not be disappointed!
