Food was good. Service was meh. Took a while for the food to arrive then after I was partially through my burger I realized they had brought the wrong one. It was also overcooked (ordered medium well and received an extremely well done burger). I was hungry and declined to say anything about the discrepancy. My wife said her fries were cold. Her burger was very good and they got her order correct. We could hear several other patrons near us complaining about cold fries/incorrect orders as well. The place has a nice atmosphere and a lot of potential. The food that was correct and cooked to order was excellent.
A rating of 3.5 seems spot-on to me; over the years, we have had a fairly equal amount of positive and negative experiences at Ted’s, yet one constant throughout those experiences has been distracted and inconsistent service. A nice space, with an amazing bar, but I do agree with some reviewers below that Ted’s might fare better in a more prominent location. On our most recent visit, the house salad (mixed greens, cucumber, vine-ripened tomatoes, croutons and red onion) and the fries were average, and forgettable (and the mashed potatoes were very bland). The highlight here were the burgers, which were extremely filling and tasty (all-natural bison and certified angus beef). I ordered the Delicious Duo (two 3 oz burgers (beef and bison), American cheese, lettuce, tomato, dill pickle, mustard and remoulade, on brioche), and my wife ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. We would certainly return for a burger, but not much else.
Came upon this place by happenstance on the way to a work conference. Plus, it’s hard to pass up on bison. Definitely recommend stopping here for exactly that reason. I ordered the Avalon, and every bit from the caramelized onions to the moist bison was absolutely delicious. Looked like they had decent shakes as well, although I did not give them a shot at the time.
This week. Food always great. Service has been unacceptable. So I called their Atlanta Corp. and complained. Someone listened. All was perfect
First, I love Ted’s in general. I live next to the original, have been going for years, so always try to visit other locations during travel which is often. I’ve been to this location 5 times now & have never had a good experience. Poor location as it is hidden so it is always empty (today less than 4 tables seated during lynch hour & 1 person at bar). I just had to leave today as I sat for 5 minutes and the servers were just standing talking to each other. They didn’t even notice or acknowledge me. Not the first indifferent service at this location. Last time I was seated for dinner & ended up sitting at the bar to get served. Is it always empty because no one cares or no one cares because it’s empty? Sometimes feel bad for the staff as they work off tips but if you are there anyway, take care of the 1 or 2 tables you do have. As far as previous food execution, please do not judge the chain on this location. Other Ted’s make excellent burgers, outstanding onion rings (get the sauce) & fresh margaritas. This locations execution is sub par to their standards. I can also say this is the location that is always empty do seating is not a issue. The original location is always packed & often has a wait.
+ Great burgers, in both quantity and quality. And you get a large variety to choose from, each with the option of bison or beef.+ Interesting differentiators (powdered soap in the restroom; paper straws for your beverage)TIP #1: Some of the burgers can be quite intense with seasoning and/or heat, so choose wisely. TIP #2: For entertainment while you eat, ask to be seated at the bar near the cook area. It can be fun to watch all the activity. Dinner and a show!
So not happy fora first time Experiance!. My wife used to work for Ted’s Montana in Florida. She had been tellingbute about this place for sometime now but there is just not to many of them. We finally found one here in Lexington, KY and went there after Christmas for a night out.(Dinner) The place was very nice and the service was OK. The problem lies in the cooks and the manager! We sat and placed our order and the food was not like they said it would be. What bothered us the most was the babies macaroni and cheese. IT WAS COLD AS ICE!!! I had the take it back and redo it and I guess they placed it in the microwave and brought it back out smoking hot! That was ridiculous to bring a child something so extremely HOT! I was not happy about it but we let it pass. My wife’s burger and mine were ordered medium-rare. The burgers were brought out fully cooked which it isn’ta problem but they were super dry. No juices nor flavor on the meat! There was no condiment on the table the ketchup bottle was 3/4 of the way empty, had not been refilled or replaced. This was just an all around bad experiance for my first time there. To makea long story short we won’t be going back to this location. The manager nor the Waiter really cared or payed much attention to our comments. You can get a much better burger at a fast food restaurant versus going here!
