Nice and Quiet Out of the Way Bar and Grill with OK Food and Price Range. I am a regular diner at the Cellar. I always avoid dining during University of Kentucky Game Days so my service is always spot on. Best foods to order are chicken bowtie pasta with broccoli and white wine. Grouper fingers and grouper platter excellent. Salmon BLT and salmon dinner over rice very good. Chicken fingers are great but hamburgers and hotdogs subpar. Drink prices are reasonable, a game room for children a win win evening for any family. I give the Cellar 3.5 stars out of 5, if quality of food can be bumped up the Cellar could be a 4 star bar and grill.
The Cellar Bar & Grille. My family and I have eaten here on several occasions, recently we just moved to the area and have invited several friends to have an appetizer or meal and drinks. Our friends are amazed and call it the hidden gem of Lexington. Great staff, well priced, wonderful ambiance, I would recommend for a casual night out or a place to watch you favorite team on the big screens!
A Fanatastic Place to Eat. This is a great place to come and eat. I have been on a date with my husband here, we bring our kids here (they have a game room for them), we have reserved the private dining room for a birthday party (awesome), we have been here for a larger birthday party and we come here a lot to watch sports! The food is fantastic, the staff is great and the atmosphere is very welcoming. This place is pretty new and it seems to get busier and busier. I love the BLT, Shrimp & Crab Dip, Blackened Sirloin, Bowtie Pasta and the Cellar Chips. They have a killer patio and on the weekends they have live music out there. Really is a gem on this side of town!
I eat at the Cellar couple times a week. I enjoy the atmosphere and good food. Great staff and friends. I have no complants about the menu but would like to see bean soup added, lol. and cornbread. Keep up the good work !
Very nice place. My family eats here often and I bring my friends here as well. Great food and drinks and very reasonably priced. The staff is very good as well. Looking forward to some music on the patio this summer.
Great Dining. I have eaten at the Cellar many times and never, repeat never, had a bad meal. The blackened sirloin is excellent as is the bourbon glazed salmon. Prices are reasonable for a fine restaurant. This is a great place to eat. I have found all the the staff and management to be courteous and friendly. We Never had to wait long for a meal.
The Cellar – bring some cash. I went to The Cellar for a friend’s birthday and had fun visiting friends and meeting some new faces. I must say though, the day I went, there was a game and it was PACKED. I’m talking crazy busy. The menu has a few signature Kentucky-style dishes, but mostly pub-type food. And wow, this place is EXPENSIVE if you decide to have a couple drinks. I ordered and appetizer and two beers – ran me $30 before tip. Honestly, I can’t say that I’ll return to The Cellar simply because I know of other much much cheaper places in Lexington to eat well and drink cheap. On the upside, the place is absolutely gorgeous and very pretty for parties. They also do weddings and host other events. Definitely try it out, but be sure to bring about $50 per person if you decide to drink.
