Fail. Very disappointed with the way I was treated. The service and the owner are unprofessional. I have been in many locally owned bar and grills and this rates as a 0. They need to bring it back to hospitality 101. Customer always comes first! We are the ones spending the money to make your business successful. And gues what, word of mouth is everything in the small community which surrounds you. Get with it or you won’t be in business long!! Good luck and you suck!!
Email from the owner. Earlier today I posted a review about the horrible experience we had here. I emailed the owner today and this was his response. We have too many places in Lexington where we can go and have good service and good food with out having to deal with this!!He wrote: I saw that on facebook and it made me chuckle… I’ll bet you everything I own, which is a lot, that it won’t effect my business in the least… You guys (except for the big bald guy) behaved like a bunch of baffoons and that’s being kind… Verbally assaulting our employees and behaving like barbarians from a 3rd world country all because you tried to walk out on a $200 tab…You’re not the 1st or last idiots to come to a bar I’ve owned, act like a jackass and then think that submitting bad review will make one ounce of difference in my business…You see, I touch hundreds of people a day who know me and my family and realize we don’t treat people they way you describe unless you behave the way you did… Sometimes, we have to take out the trash…Best of luck…29 Mar, 2015We paid a lot of money to be called dishonest.. The server was very unprofessional, and the manager was hostle and extremely confrontational with out knowing the situation. Our party’s bill was incorrectly charged and spilt up, and when we tried to get this corrected it was insinuated that #1 were too intoxicated to realize how much we were drinking and #2 that we were trying to be dishonest and skip out on the bill. The server snatched my friend’s debit card out of her hand and before we could resolve this, charged the entire bill (over $200.00!) to it. When the manager came over, instead of hearing our concerns, he immediately became confrontational with my husband and assumed the two previous prejudices listed. After 45 minutes our bill was finally resolved, and while I realize that not everyone are honest people, it is very poor practice of business to assume that we all our thieves. Needless to say we won’t be coming back.
Stopped by for lunch on first visit. Great chicken club and home made chips. I’m going back soon.
Seemed like a nice low key place. A friend and I ordered a drink a piece and split an appetizer. 5 minutes after our food came the waiter came up and told us we had to leave in the next 30 minutes b/c there was going to be a some kind of frat party there. Would’ve been nice to know before we ordered or put a sign up.
Over priced on liquor.
The service SLOW!!! Waited over an hour for a chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. Sports bar! You can’t get the big screen tv to work!!
Cajun bar food? Delicious!. I stopped in for lunch at The SEC around 1. There were 3 or 4 tables full, so it wan’t too busy, but the place wasn’t totally dead either. I was surprised to see several Cajun items on the menu, but apparently the owner is from Louisiana and wanted to use his own recipes. I ordered the chicken with creamy cajun sauce. It came out in about 10 minutes; the presentation was excellent! Diced red and green peppers over flat noodles with an orange cajun alfredo sauce, this was a very colorful dish. The food tasted as good as it looked too, and the portions are huge; hard as I tried, I could not finish my meal and had to get a box. I was very pleased with my visit and plan on returning in the near future to try their steak dishes, and perhaps one or two barley pops next time as well…
