Wow, the lunch was worth the detour off the interstate just outside Midway. WS’s Big Brown burger was simply one of the best I have ever enjoyed. I would recommend that if two or more are in the party you get at least one and split it. Why? Cause you need to try it. Family had the Cuban which was delicious and the lemon bar was exceptional.
We love Wallace Station. Other than the fact that it’s always crowded (because it’s so good) I can’t complain about it at all. The food is always stellar and I love all the creative combinations. It’s definitely worth a stop. (I particularly like their Mediterranean Turkey Grill Sandwich)
The drive to Wallace Station will be the best part of your trip (and a perfect opportunity to become lost in beautiful Central KY). We have been here multiple times throughout the years, and we always find the service to be friendly, the baked goods to be delicious (from nearby Midway Bakery, which is also owned by Chef Ouita Michel), and the atmosphere to be charming (be sure to sit outside on the patio if it’s not too hot). Although the burgers and the sandwiches are tasty, it is everything else that makes Wallace Station an experience. Most recently, I ordered the Grilled Country Ham & Pimento, on wheat (thinly-sliced country ham with zesty pimento cheese), with a forgettable potato salad; my wife ordered the Original Wally Burger (medium-well), with American cheese, and served with chips. For dessert, we ordered the Iced Sugar Cookie and the Smores Bar, and both were amazing!
We’re from out of town and would never have tried Wallace’s Station had we not heard Guy Fieri’s review. Food was awesome – highly worth the trip.
Delicious!. I could eat an inside out Hot Brown every single day. Id weigh 1,000 pounds, but Id sure be happy!
Best deli around!
This is a great hole in the wall restaurant. The prices seem a little high but it’s worth it because the food is really good and portions are huge. Friendly staff as well.
