The wait is not worth it. I think there is only two employees in the whole place. We waited forever to get our food and then again to ring out. Very bland and service was ridiculous. When we rang out the server used a calculator and the register still said Good Morning. We were one of three tabs on the counter. This place will not be around very long at this rate.
Best in Florence?. I was a bit tenative to go here since a friend at work commented they do not even have a sign out front yet. I decided to give it a try anyway and I am so glad I did. I have not eaten at every Mexican place in Florence but I rank this place up there with my current favorite Rio Grande and mabye a step higher due to the amount of seafood on the menu. As with all Mexican restaurants you get chips and salsa. The chips seemed freshly made. I asked for the hot salsa and it was perfect. A good brown color and hot enough to make me keep eating it, which is perfect.For my entree I asked my server which of the multiple seafood dishes he likes he said the Gringo Especial. This consisted of bacon-wrapped shrimp, stir fried rice and octopus. This was a huge portion and I barely could finish it and very flavorful. Service was quick and friendly and the owner was very nice on the way out. Lunch prices seem very reasonable all around the 5-7 dollar range. Oh that sign I mentioned was lacking is coming end of Nov.
