Visited with a group of work friends and found it to be a good bar/restaurant vibe, with slow, yet friendly, service. The stool seats didn’t remain comfortable for long, but the food was good and the atmosphere inviting. We shared a Sushi Roll and Fried Pickles, both good and the Pickles were length-wise, sandwich slices, which was an interesting change of pace. I had the Big Blue Burger, which is a mountain of a meal, and was well seasoned, but a little challenging to eat. No one thing jumped out as being special, but I wouldn’t hesitate to return. diningoutdfw.com

After that the service went down hill from there. This was not our first visit to Drakes but it is definitely our last. Don’t waste your money, head to a restaurant that values their customers and treats them so.

This restaurant was a mix of good and bad. First, thank goodness someone told us it was seat yourself, or we would have had no idea. Other than no hostess stand, there was nothing to indicate you had to find your own table. We went at what we knew was going to be a busy time, but I had no idea you literally had to stand and hover over people and then quick run into a table that was still dirty for the guests who had jus left. I get that they want a bar/restaurant theme, but you don’t get to be both when you serve real meals and not just bar food. We were literally about to walk out the door when someone stopped us and waved us over. Our server was very nice and our food came out quickly. It was nothing to go crazy about, the the portions were very large. The other negative was the music. It was so crazy loud. I don’t even know why they bothered showing the UK game because the didn’t play any audio with it. The music was a great mix, but so loud I got a migraine! Overall, maybe we will try it at lunch when it is less crazy.
