Out of business?. Stopped by at 6 on a Friday night. The lights were on, the open sign was lit, and the doors were unlocked, but there was no one there. Behind the counter, the pans were all over the place, and the kitchen was dark. Kind of bummed because the other reviews sounded good.
Omg….where has this place been hiding??!! I searched for good bbq in Ohio,and ky- came up empty every time. I just happen to search one last rime,before giving up. Lucky for me….this place was 2miles from home(bonus). I called ahead,and even tho he was closed- and on his way to set up at a festival-he invited us to come on in and get some of his delicious food. He even gave us tea,while we waited for our order. The brisket is off the hook good. Perfectly seasoned and smoked. It’s almost a sin to cover meat that good with sauce-lol. Lucky for me,the sauce is equally awsome. The ribs were to die for. They were super meaty,and bone licking good. I was lucky enough to get to try his spaghetti bake,and boy was it a complete surprise. I usually don’t care for spaghetti baked,but I am so glad he had me try it. Great if you have kids,or have to make a dish for a party. Let me not forget….the BEST tea- I have ever had-hands down!! I wanted to bring back a gallon jug to get a refill,the cups,just couldn’t hold enough of that liquid gold. I unfortunately didn’t get to try the corn,or the sides,because he was not actually open,but I’m going back ASAP. I agree with the other customers,you almost wanna keep the place under wraps,just for yourself-but the food is so good- you wanna call friends and family to share the great news. In fact I had my mom look for his booth at the fest-I hope she found it,so she could share in my experience. Let me not forget the wonderful,sweet,owner….as I said,he served me- even tho he was closed(nuff said). He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. You don’t get pure southern hospitality any more,it was a welcome change. More places could take note of that. Thanks for the wonderful service and great food.
Looks are definitely deceiving. This place was definitely out of the way and hard to find at first, but the food more than made up for it. Not only that but Eddie, the owner, was gracious and very pleasant. This is the best BBQ in NKY. We will definitely be back!
Beef brisket sandwich was outstanding. Plain an simple. Great smoke flavor, generous portions, very moist.
Like on the moon – no atmospere. To find this place , you have to look hard.i passed by it twice before i finally saw it.it’s small and poorly decorated with not much if any atmosphere. this is basically a lil’ mom&pop kind of place and the food i had was good but the surrounding really affected me to where i just did not enjoy it as much as i think i should.the prices & people were nice and if i go back, i’d get carry-out instead of dine-in.
