We had a pumpkin, red velvet, midnight magic and apple pie. All of them were very good, moist and TONS of frosting. We liked the pumpkin and red velvet best. Cute little shop and friendly service. We’ll be back!
First time order. I just introduced myself, to the young girl on phone-Brittney. Brittney was very helpful and curteous. The info she didn’t know, she asked the manager-Beth. Beth then got on the phone and spoke with me. I’m in TX, and am delighted that GiGi’s will be sending the surprise birthday order for my dad’s big day-in KY-this weekend!! I am so happy with their support/information. If the taste is close at all to to the customer service, well then they will no doubt be delicious and finger licking good!!! Thank you GiGis (esp Brittney and Beth)Erin Spillman
Overpriced Cupcakes. Purchased a few cupcakes and each were $3.25. They were not very tasty and definitely not worth $3.25. They did look good but once biting into them we were very disappointed. The cake of one was dry and the icing tasted like icing you get from the grocery store like Betty Crocker. I could get much better tasting cupcakes at a school bake sale, maybe not as good looking but cupcakes are made for eating.
I had been wanting to give Gigi’s a try since they opened and I finally had the chance yesterday. I must say… I was pretty disappointed. First, the staff was a bunch of high school girls who were anything but helpful or polite. They were not friendly in the least even when we told them this would be our first time trying Gigi’s and made our experience there awkward. I guess I can’t expect too much from high schoolers though. Secondly, the cupcakes were just mediocre. I tried the Kentucky Bourbon Pie and so did my brother and my fianc tried their peanut butter cup. Let me just say: I am an icing LOVER! I’m the weirdo who will get cravings occasionally just for pure icing… But these cupcakes just had far too much. I expected to taste some bourbon, cake, or something distinctive but all I really tasted was sugary icing which was really nothing special. I’m really disappointed. 🙁
