Traditional can be good–very good!. My son loves Sushi, and on an off chance, we stopped at this restaurant. The best spur of the moment decision ever! Very authentic and excellent food. The servers are all helpful and friendly. It is a little pricey, but hey you get what you pay for–and in this case, it is good, authentically prepared food! There were many other Japanese diners there, so that really illustrated the reputation as well. I didn’t feel out of place or slighted in the least.
I ordered ‘take out’ Sushi last week. My wife and I do a ‘Sushi & Movie’ night about one a month. I love Sushi but my ‘go to’ take out Sushi place closed (Sakura) so I am in search of a replacement. I ordered my normal selection which included 4 rolls and ~30 pieces of Nigiri (I told you I liked Sushi!). OK, so I go to pick it up, paid for it and drove home.Price? It was 35% higher (ouch!) than Sakura. Sushi? rice (nigiri) was smaller in size and so was the cut size and thickness of the fish. I would estimate that it was 1/3 of what I was getting at Sakura. Disappointed. I’ve crossed them off of my list. I guess I’ll keep looking. I wonder though if my result would have been different if my name was Japanese….. it shouldn’t be, as a ‘customer is a customer’…. but I do wonder. Maybe I should order the identical meal with a Japanese name and a western name and see if there is a difference….. hmmmmmm……
Really cool modern place. Sweetest most adorable server. Gyoza melted in my mouth. Sushi and rolls were fantastic! We’ve finally found the best sushi in NKY!
Class Act. Authentic as it gets. It’s a good sign when every car in the parking lot was a Toyota. Wonderful service, great price, even better food. I had the Oyaki Don and could not finish it there was so much.Don’t pass this place by. Just a helpful tip: if you don’t know how to use chopsticks, you should learn before eating here.
Probably the best, most authentic Japanese cuisine you will find in the tri-state
Excellent Sushi. There are two restaurants in NKY where one can get decent sushi. Miyoshi is one of them.
The service was terrible and quality of food was subpar. The ambiance was bland.
