Decided to go here for ole times sake and I will never return! The food was so nasty from the toss salad to the steak. Rib tips were so toufh I couldnt eat them. I could taste the poor quality beef they purchase. ( got a sale from the former dirty Krogers) Staff very unprofessional expext for the cashier. She vas very polite and professional.. Very dark and depressing atmosphere. No manager in sight. Server on her cell phone working! !! Cheddars would have been a better choice for an expensive meal.

It was so well done that even A-1 sauce couldn’t mask the dryness. Sent it back only to have ANOTHER overcooked steak made well done. Staff was professional and polite. Several buffet items were tasteless. The cooks are clueless or just improperly trained. The steaks were full of grissle and fat. This is a horrible place for your value. $16 for a horrific meal. My dog on the other hand seemed to enjoy the remainder of my second steak. Do NOT spend your hard earned money here.

Got a stone cold bowl of Chili from the urn and the waitress said they turned it off whoever they were – was more like a complaint of her own rather than a real apology or offer to make it right. She did not come back to let us know that perhaps there was more in the back- we waited and waited with little explanation or real apology. Never have we given a bad review at a restaurant so we are not chronic complainers by any means. The steam tables are not well managed and the food was very dried out. Know there is hunger in the world and hate to complain, however we were charged for our food and no one seemed to care. Did not expect anyone to bow down as have seen folks treat waitress poorly but this was not good at all. It just seemed there is poor moral at the restaurant in Florence, KY. We had not eaten at a Ponderosa for for some time, but never remembered it being that kind of food – something is wrong. The quality of the food is definitely what we remember at a Ponderosa.
Food was good, standard ponderosa. We would eat here again.
Nasty, dirty and grosse!
We thouroughly enjoyed our meals. The buffet had a wide variety of items both salad and hot. The steak and chicken ordered off the menu were very good also. The steak was cooked as ordered and tender and the chicken was moist.
An idea whose time has past. Steak was tough. Food bar was old. Better value elsewhere
