I’ve written in the past about the Sakkio of Japan that used to exist in the Carew Tower food court downtown, as well as the new Yihi Japan in Eastgate. If you have been to either of these, you know the drill here – teriyaki chicken cooked up right in front of you, with fresh steam-grilled veggies, over steamed rice, fried rice, or soba noodles.This is one of my favorite cheap meals in town, and lunch at Sarku today was no differentIf you’ve never tried it, and are unsure if you’d like it — don’t hesitate to ask for a sample. Samples are always free, and always available. Often, they’ll even have a worker with a plateful of samples offering them to passers-byWhen you plate or box has been topped with chicken, before you take your lunch, I recommend asking for extra teriyaki sauce. its no charge, and makes the meal extra deliciousRecommended
