Nice local find!. Really liked this place, and the staff. We happened in after we were doing the gps search for Mexican food, heading North, thru KY and beyond.I walked in first to see what it was like, since many window-posters mostly blocked our view of the inside.The nice lady at the counter gave a good and friendly testimonial about her place and I’m really glad that the four of us dined at Montoya’s.Super friendly folks and truly good food. I had a simple two-taco platter w/beans and rice. It was all very good. Would definitely return when passing through.
The most authentic & the best. … absolutely the best authentic mexican you can get. they’ve been around for years & have always been consistent. the staff is great. in 20 years have never had a bad meal. once you find something great you keep coming back. we highly recommend this place.
Best Mexican in town. Went to Montoya’s for the first time a couple years ago, and I can’t seem to stop going back. Everything is amazing. From the chips and 3 kinds of salsa, to the typical Americanized Mexican fare like tacos and burritos, to the more genuine Mexican menu items like the Chilaquiles. I have yet to try one thing I have not liked. To top the amazing food off, the service is great, staff are friendly and willing to work with you on changing items up, etc. I go every week and have not been let down!
The best.. This is the only Mexican restaurant i’ll go to. They have THE BEST homemade guacamole that I can’t get enough of,there enchiladas are real cheese, and the people are super nice. The service is quick and easy too. It is far away from where I live but if I am in the mood for Mexican that is the first place I think of & will go to. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a taste of what amazing mexican food tastes like.
WONDERFUL. It’s my favorite place to go. All my friends know whenever we get a chance to go to KY we go to Montoya’s. Our corporate office is nearby (we work in Kenwood, OH) and whenever we can make an excuse to go to corporate it’s really to go here. I live 35 miles away but I go on weekends. The thing I like best is that it isn’t very spicey. I’m not a fan of real spicey foods but I think the burritos have a lot of flavor without burning your taste buds. The mild salsa is great too, since it’s made fresh it tastes a little different every time, sometimes I can taste the spice, others I can’t. It’s wonderful. I’ve never had a bad experience there. I would recommend to EVERYONE!!!
I Want to LIke It. This place has been a neighborhood fixture for a long time. What no margaritas? Salsa as thin as water? Marginally OK burritos? The people who run it are delightful, which is why I sometimes go back when a crowd takes me.
