This place is a local favorite for many and I have had catered lunches from here several times. Lunch sandwiches were pretty standard though with typical sides. The location is unique and rustic, perched high above the KY River (but no view of the river) and beneath the Capitol parking lot. A cool and nostalgic old diner worth visiting.
The very definition of a diner. Very small and cozy with terrific service. They have the classic red bar stools as well. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The burger wasn’t anything special and standard crinkle fries. What makes this place special is the ambience. It’s a family owned diner with tons of character. My wife ordered the mini burgers which are just small burgers. We both ate for $15 which can’t be beat.

I love this place.. I have eaten here every since a child.. lot of good memories.. love their food and ice cream.. great service with friendly people
The corn bread is fantastic. A hint of sweetness really sets it apart from the rest of the food we had. The chicken is a frozen product. The potato salad and cole slaw are from a food service company. The meat loaf was made in house.
