Yum. The food is wonderful. It tastes fresh because it is fresh. The atmosphere is lacking but it was originally a Tumbleweed restaurant. The Garcia’s have taken out some tables to make it more enjoyable. The can accommodate big parties in the back and they have a nice patio. But it is the food that keeps us going back!!
We went there 3/16/14. Never again! The food was bland. The cheese appetizer was luke warm and the waiter was very unfriendly. I had to ask for another drink and when I got my food I felt the waiter had done something to my food. We will NEVER be back. Too many other good places to eat with staff who appreciate the business!
This is no ordinary Mexican food joint. This place makes the real thing and it’s done well. My wife and I go here more than any other place in Frankfort. Their entrees and prices easily beat Abuelos. The atmosphere may be average, but the service and food are well worth the trip.
Excellente!!. First time eating here and so good inspired to write a review! The salsa was awesome, but the shrimp tacos that I had and the chicken fajitas that my husband ordered were amazing! When first looking at the menu we thought the pricing was a bit high, but then the portions arrived and we were impressed! Sorry we waited so long to try this place and look forward to returning!
They Try Hard to Please. I tried this place for the first time recently and left impressed. I’ve had better fish tacos at other places but these were very tasty (the tortilla fell apart too easily, making a mess). I also really liked the black beans along with the rice. The beans came with gratedgoat cheese on top, which was a very nice extra touch. Salsa was also good and the wait staff friendly. It’s obvious that they try hard here, and I appreciated that.
Good but could be better. Garcia’s is a good restaurant that could be the best in Frankfort. Their black beans are very good and the fish tacos are tasty. They use a little bit of cabbage instead of the typical shredded lettuce that gives it a good crunch. Plate presentations look nice and are slightly different looking than other Hispanic restaurants. The main thing they should improve on is the beef quality. I tried the lunch fajitas and the meat was very tough. Waitstaff was nice and was as average as other Hispanic restaurants. If they improved the beef quality and had a better trained waitstaff, this would be the best in town.
