Kentucky Coffeetree Cafe is exactly what it sounds like, a coffeehouse and a cafe. Illuminated like a dive bar and softly playing worse music than you…

Beyond unpleasant service and mediocre food. Every time this happens: they take my order, I pay, then 1/2 hr later they come and tell me they are out …

Neat little place right downtown…

Good coffee. The Good – the coffee and the lemon jazz bar. The regular coffee is very reasonably priced. Did not get a chance to try the actual food. Small but nice beer selection. The Bad – The coffee drinks and the desserts are a little pricey, but no worse than you’d pay at a Starbucks.
Forget Sarbucks. Go here instead! Bold, fresh coffee and great sandwiches and soups. Very crowded at times and a bit of a wait but that’s due to their success. Relaxed atmosphere among the books and nice to be able to walk through from Poor Richards Bookstore all the way to Completely Kentucky.
Great spot for vistors and locals. I was visiting Frankfort and was delighted to find such a great local spot. Not only was the food great, but Kentucky Coffeetree was also a great place to meet cool locals, and get a good feel for the city. Lots of books and a standup bass that (I think?) it was okay to pluck.Sausage biscuit was great; cake was aweosme; coffee was delicious. It’s also open early and stays open late, which was very convenient on both ends.
Cool Coffee Cafe. I like Coffeetree Cafe. I think it is lacking in some areas, and so I will critisize rather than compliment because I am critical and I realize that, but it is constructive OK???Most of the staff are friendly. Service is a bit slow, and they will often allow people to line up while they are busy doing other things, and that bugs me. Customers should always be the priority, not cutting up something. Another thing, when they have the out-door concerts they don’t staff up for it and everyone gets annoyed. You need more staff on that night, maybe you can get temp help. I bet it you put an add to have someone work part-time on Friday concert night, you would have people happy to do it. . Sometimes they allow the cream to run out and get gross and that aggrivates me, because this will happen on a slow day, not just busy days. ALSO, they always run out of blueberry scones but they have a stack of rasberry white chocolate, well here is a big hint, did they ever think of make MORE BLUEBERRY and LESS of the Rasberry???? It seems Blueberry is the best seller, so make more of those and less of the other (DUHHHHHHH). The atmosphere in this place is wierd and that is why I always get mine to go. But that is just Frankfort in general. Who ever says this is a friendly town is a liar, and when you go to the Coffee Tree, they fall right in with the Frankfort atmosphere. All in all, I like this place, glad it is here and hope it stays.
Scrummy sandwiches.. I have had lunch here a few days recently. It is a really nice place. The staff are friendly, food is very well made on the premises, coffee is fresh and the atmosphere most relaxing. There are also a good amount of vegetarian options on the menu.
This place is really charming and right next to an old bookshop so it’s perfect for a good muffin and coffee a great book an an enchanting morning
A local shop with a local feel!!!! A must when your in Frankfort!!!
