I have visited here several times for lunch and most recently, a friend and I stopped in for their sausage carbonara and stuffed gnocchi. Both dishes were delicious. Side of garlic bread was also nice. The place tends to be hit or miss at times, especially the service,so glad to see they’re on top of things now.
Who cares?. I have recently visited this restaurant- twice for lunch, and once more for dinner. I have to ask- who is running the ship? It does not seem like anyone in the front of the house is interested in ensuring a basic level of customer satisfaction. It does not come close to the level of hospitality that one feels when they dine in the sister restaurant in Lexington, Portofino. Each time, we waited at the front door hostess station for a very uncomfortable amount of time (wondering are they open or has the hostess walked out?). They were never busy, but the tables around us were not cleaned or reset for the next table, indicating that their staff was either busy elsewhere or that there were not enough people there to properly get the job done. The food: The menu at lunch was priced well for what we ordered. Fried green tomatoes, Fried Oysters, Salmon Croquettes, Pasta special of the day; all were worth the money and the wait. When we ate there on a Thursday evening at 7:00 pm, we were told that there was a party of 30 in the private room, and the server didn’t know how things would be coming out of the kitchen for us. We did not have very good service that evening and the food was not good. One meal came with a chicken breast was fried beyond dry, and my pumpkin ravioli was cold. The vegetables accompanying my institutional tasting pasta dish seemed to be a frozen mixed vegetable blend. I was disappointed, and would have relayed my dissatisfaction had anybody asked. One thing was consistent; I was not asked after any of my three visits if I would like coffee or dessert. I would have enjoyed hearing about them and probably would have ordered something. Most restaurants encourage the servers to make sure to mention the dessert before bringing the check. I think the downtown Frankfort restaurant scene needs a white tablecloth restaurant, but the missing hostess or manager left me hungry for that level of service that you pay for when you dine in a fine dining establishment such as this.

After being seated with the menu at my table for over 10 minutes my server still had not come over to at least get a drink order. somebody did come over and started cleaning off a table next to me and never acknowledged me till i decided to just get up and leave. I was looking forward to something better than this.
Great service, ok food. We ordered the risotto (with chicken) & steak, the risotto was absolutely delish but the chicken was dry & pushed to the side of my plate. My husbands steak was good, but nothing we couldn’t have made at home. Our server was great though. We will try a different restaurant next time in Frankfort.
Food is okay. But really the service that is lacking. For a small town restaurant, they aren’t very friendly and are borderline rude.
Service is as slow as a snail!!! If you have 2 hrs to eat dinner, you’ll enjoy this place. Food is great!
Great Food Great Staff. My mother and I went to Serafini to scout it out for my brothers rehearsal dinner. We had lunch… She ordered the lasagne and I had the salmon. The food was amazing! Great flavor and gorgeous presentation. Only downer is that lunches do not come with salad… everything is a la carte. Great place to eat and I will be back!
