Not too shabby as Q places go, but not excellent either. I’ve been here for lunch a couple times and found the Q to be tasty and filling, but they tend to rely too much on the sauce for flavor. Overall though, not bad and worth a try.
Great sandwiches!. We visited for the first time, and LOVED our briscit sandwiches! Next time we visit Frankfort we shall return! 🙂

Any BBQ joint that doesn’t have a smoker rolling at lunch time should be viewed with suspicion. Pulled Pork and beans were better than McRib but not as good as Old Hickory. Pork was without sauce and I had very little pink meat. The staff was very friendly and it wasn’t bad– just not very good either.

Once was enough.. With only one, maybe two, worthy exceptions Central Kentucky is a barbeque desert. Staxx didn’t change my opinion. My partner and I tried a variety of the offerings, brisket, pulled pork, ribs and sides. The Q was lukewarm…same for the potato salad and beans. My biggest complaint?…very little taste. In other words the Q was bland and undersmoked. I realize several reviewers give a thumbs up to Staxx, but with all due respect, there are a lot of people who like canned chili. It’s a meal. No chance of your socks getting knocked off!
Over priced. 3 chicken strips $8.95 with fries what a rip off. The other bbq pulled pork was cheaper and better. The service was bad. Not happy with the price for the 3 strips. What a joke. Could of bought 2 chickens for that price.
