I will definitely return. Not high end of anything but cute and reasonably priced. I had bacon and eggs. They were very fresh and very good. So many restaurants over or undercook bacon and pretty much always over cook eggs. Mine were light and fluffy and the toast was rye and was delicious. Lovely staff and nice to talk to. Rather quick service. Will return if I’m Georgetown.
Very cute little place right on Main Street. Servers are really nice and food is DELISH with generous portions. We ordered small fried pickles and it is bigger than any other place I’ve had them. With a light reading and not greasy, they are great. We also got the fried jalapeo slice and they were awesome!
It’s was just okay. The chicken salad was good but the tomatoes were very old and mushy!! My husband’s Reuben Sandwich was small and the meat was cut into tiny pieces. Even though the food was okay, the service was bad. Waiter seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Not helpful and could barely say 2 words.
This is a cute local diner that we have been going to for years. The food and service were always quite good up until a few months ago. Since then, service in particular has really dropped off. I certainly hope they can make the changes to get back to the prior quality.
Just meh,. After hearing mostly good things and hearing people rave about the beer cheese burger, I thought me and a college friend would give it a try in my last few weeks before I leave KY. Galvin’s is our usual spot–but we decided to give something else a shot. Needless to say, we wish we would’ve just went to Galvins again. The service was very sub-par and the food was only okay and NOT cooked to order. My friend and I both ordered burgers medium rare. They were both well done. I never could quite figure out who our real waitress was as 2 different people took our drinks and then food orders. I got one refill the whole time I was in there and it was only because I asked. I think we maybe got 2 words each from the server. Food wasn’t terrible but not worth the price or poor service. My friend and I have both worked food service at Cracker Barrels (which are notoriously busy and stressful to work at) and so it takes a lot for us to have problems with the service. But we did. And it’s weird ahd musty on the inside and doesn’t serve alcohol. Walk down the street to Galvin’s instead.
Must eat at Favas!!!. In town of the Derby we are at Favas on a fridy night, 9 people. We made reservations ahead of time. When we arrived we sat right down and was greeted by the granddaughter of the original Favas over, who recently passed away. We all loved our meals! Recommendations: Fried catfish (best I’ve ever had), fried pickles, and their jambalaya!!
Waffle house has better everything.
