We had never been here for dinner and we loved it! It is a Louisville original and the menu is very broad. Fantastic food and service! Our waiter Charlie was great! A+
Hmmm. The food is good, but does not match the price point of the menu and the service is hit or miss. If you’re in the mood for Italian, just go to Macaroni Grille or Carraba’s.
Very disappointed!! Will not be returning. Where to begin. horrible service the wait staff acted as if they were above my group and were very rude. for the price of everything to say it was mediocre is an understatement. ive had a better steak at applebees… lastly I have been a manager in a restaurant and if I heard my staff talk to any customer they way we were waited on I would fire them. the only decent thing about the whole experience was the patio.. but honestly I will never go back
Disappointed in Napa River Grill. We use to go to Napa a lot and we went to celebrate an anniversary recently and found the restaurant had changed their seating and their menu. The seating was ok, but the food was terrible and the prices were ridiculous for what you got.We never mind paying higher prices if the food is good, but I had the lobster special and got a lobster stuffed with dressing and basically that was it for $35.00. There was very little lobster. My husband got the ahi tuna that was over cooked. The cost was $30.00.We ordered a piece of carrot cake for dessert. What we got was a carrot cake cupcake with ice cream on top for $9.00. It was very dry.The salad was good and the wine was good, but that’s about it. I was so very disappointed!
Exquisite!. I went to this restaurant with my parents, and all three of us agreed that this was an exquisite restaurant. I don’t have much of a palate for wine, but both of the wine drinkers at the table thoroughly enjoyed looking over the extensive wine list and discussing their choices over dinner. The food, which was my main focus, was absolutely phenomenal. I had the chicken satay as an appetizer and the seared ahi tuna for dinner, and I was 100% satisfied with everything on my beautifully presented plates. My mother has celiac disease, and the staff gladly worked with her to choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert that she could safely eat – and she loved every bit of what she had. My stepfather was interested in piecing together a protein and side dish from different entrees, and that was also no problem. We finished dinner by ordering a large french press of some absolutely amazing coffee. The service was great, the ambiance was lovely… I can’t think of a bad thing to say! I highly recommend this restaurant!
I mostly recently had the fish trio special . I was very disappointed. Over priced food and just plain bad. I would guess this place is closed in the next few years. Don’t waste your time on this place.
Sunday Brunch. Definitely the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! And that’s just one of the many delicious components in this superlative buffet. Hot Brown Casserole, another standout. Service by Billy(request his station) was excellent. For the drinkers-Mimosas and Bloody Marys, $1.00. Can’t wait to go back next week!
