Still Decent. Went recently with a party of three. Still decent eats for a chain. I know that alcohol at restaurants is off the charts in terms of ROI but we had a $40 bottle of cabernet that I found afterward for $16 at Right Aid. Still, nice evening.13 Aug, 2013Good Chain Italian. I agree with most of the other reviews that this chain serves pretty darn good Italian–not easy to find as Italian food seems to be best expressed via long and well tested family traditions–not through focus-grouped corporate menus. I had the Pasta Weezie which was wonderful. The wait staff was also very pleasant and well trained. I will return.
More good than bad. Great service, place was packed (interesting mix of clientele….. from baseball caps and sweatpants to business attire!) The bread is great! Salads just ok. Food very average and cold. But was impressed with the timing and speed of everything considering how busy it was. Our server was outstanding. Would not make it a point to come back…. the fare is simply unimpressive and basic. The lasagna on my plate was the size of a 4 bite brownie. Maybe 10 green beans. Like my other reviews, WHEN will restaurants start serving portions in line with their pricing???
My favorite restaurant and Chicken Bryan is my favorite dish ever!!!
One of My Favs. If you want good Italian food, Carrabba’s Italian Grill is definitely a restaurant to consider. I have tried a variety of menu items and all have been excellent.
One of favorite places. Chain restaurant that doesn’t feel like one. Favorites are Chicken Marsala, lobster ravioli, spiedino di mare, and Pollo Rosa Maria. House and Caesar salads are excellent….bread, oil and cheese are wonderful. Huge potions. Suggestion: ask for fettucine with roasted garlic and olive oil.
Good chance of a very good meal. Chain Italian restaurants are often not all that great, but Carrabba’s continues to maintain an above average standard. The muscle appetizer is usually wonderful, the grilled entrees, salads and pastas likewise. The service often just manages to squeak under the line that would make it pretentious. The one flaw I’ve found is that the quality of the food is uneven. The same item can be quite different the next time you order it. Too salty one time, just right the next, under cooked, over cooked, etc. So one thumb up for a very good effort and giving me the Italian restaurant I so want, but only one, for not giving it to me on every visit.
So we all know this is a chain restaurants and an Italian one at that. To me this is usually a red flag. But if I had to pick an Italian place to go to that is a chain without a doubt I would come here! Everything is made in house and you can definitely taste it. Great stuff!
