Never again! The ground beef smelled and tasted awful. My husband’s meal was just as bad. The salsa was water-thin. The sauces were awful and the meat was questionable. I will say the rice was good, but they forgot to put the guacamole on my plate that was supposed to come with my meal. Shame.
Great food RUDE SERVICE. I ate at the el nopal in mt Washington Kentucky. My bill came to 10.87. I left $3on the table. I went to the front to pay my bill. I handed him a $20 and received change I walked around the corner of the cashier counter and the man raised his hands in the air and asked me where his tip was. I told him he was rude and walked out. I will never eat at EL NOPAL AGAIN THANKS FOR A GOOD TIME.

My current favorite Mexican. El Nopal is everything you depend on from locally owned authentic Mexican food. If you’ve had Mexico Tipico or El Caporal then you know what to expect – good food and fast service. This is our current go to place when we want Mexican, mostly due to its proximity to our apartment and workplace, but we have always had good experiences, both at this location, and the one in the Taylorsville Kroger shopping center. I usually order the fried burritos ala carte, and have them substitue shredded beef for the filling. The shredded beef has much more flavor than ground beef in my opinion. All Mexican places I have visited will let you do this without an up charge.We always enjoy eating here and you can get in and out easily on an hour lunch break.
