Based on one visit recently I was not overly impressed. I ordered their mu shu special and the crepe was thick whereas typically they are light. Best part was the plum sauce. The fried rice was dry and lacked taste. The service was wonderful and friendly and the crepes were prepared (rolled) at the table, which was nice. But I was just not impressedwith the food.
This place is a hidden gem in Louisville. Family owned and operated for many years, this is where you get QUALITY Chinese food. The owners remember you forever. The food is flavorful, and is honestly priced lower than it could be sold for. When you are feeling under the weather, Sichuan’s wonton soup will cure you. The lunch buffet is a nice option during the week, but this is also a nice place to go with friends and family. Although the interior is a bit dated, it adds to the charm of this tenured establishment. I will forever be a regular of this place!
The best chinese food!. This is the best chinese food ever! I love going to Sichuan Garden. Ive been going there for many years and I never get disappointed. It is owned by a very friendly family. There buffet is delicious and has lots of varieties.They are in kind of a pricey side but it totally worth it! They have very delicious, large portions of food and fresh vegetables.They’re decorations are beautiful and nice. There atompsphere is perfect and they are starting to do specials! This is the best formal chinese restaurant in Louisville! I reccommened anyone to go there!
Best buffet in town.. There are many places with more options on their buffet, but this family run establishment tucked way back into the Plainview shopping center behind Joe’s OK Bayou has the tastiest. General’s chicken that is spicy and not sweet, tofu dishes I actually LIKE, egg rolls and fried won-tons that are actually worth eating! If you are in the area Tuesday through Sunday, stop in for lunch! As far as the rest of time, they have the usual phone book sized menu of Chinese wonderfulness, but they do them with a twist that I really like. In short, if you are in the mood for Chinese food, you can’t go wrong eating here.9/2015 Update: Still one of the best Chinese American places in town. The Buffet only runs till 1:30, but they are now serving lunch specials to order until 2:30. I have uploaded a few snapshots showing the best General Tso’s in town, spicy and not too sweet, As well as some other treats and a shot of the somewhat hard to spot location.
One of my favorite places for Chinese food. I first found this place about 20 years ago and try to go at least once a week to get lunch from work. Very friendly staff and great food. They know me by voice on the phone and what I am ordering and when my husband and I make a special trip from Iroquois Park area they remember what each of us get.
One of our favorite Chinese restaurants.. Don’t get there very often but my husband and I are big fans! Great tasting food… good service… never have to wait to get a table… great prices!
