As much as it pains me to say this, this BBQ chain restaurant is easily the most complete in Lexington, if not all of Eastern Kentucky. Everything on the complete BBQ menu is done authentically, from scratch. The atmosphere is casual, and usually not overly loud. When the weather is appropriate, there are comfy picnic-style tables out front with a cornhole court. It’s one of the few places I’ve been (and there have been many) that can please the beef fan, pork person, and chicken/turkey enthusiast. All of the sides are prepared well with excellent ingredients and the desserts induce guilt they’re so good! Even the beverage menu is extensive, with freshly-brewed tea, scratch-lemonade, a variety of bottled soft drinks and beers. It’s a chain, but with none of the shortcuts that usually come with franchising. If you don’t like it here, you don’t like BBQ!
