Not. Impressed. I’ve been in this area my whole life and had never been here. I wanted to try something different. At first sight, it seemed pretentious. That never changed. It took me a minute to order and the barista acted bored with me and my questions, even so far as acting like I was ignorant. The coffee was only so-so, the breakfast items were less than desirable. There is a lack of tables and plugs for computers, etc. The wifi was spotty. Disappointed. Next time I’ll just go back to Common Grounds, where I feel much more comfortable and the coffee and food is better.

The coffee was not strong enough; there were no electrical outlets near my tables and chairs; the service was just okay; and the place was sort of nostalgic

Surprised. I had planned a trip to the Bluegrass and hoped to find a good local roaster/coffee shop; when I found Coffee Times, I thought I had found exactly what I was looking for. I arrived at Coffee Times really in need of a great cup of coffee and hoping to buy a couple pounds of fresh, locally roasted beans to take home. I ordered a cup of brewed coffee, which left much to be desired. I decided that it had obviously been brewed earlier that morning and that I should give them the benefit of the doubt, so I proceeded to peruse their large selection of beans. I found the presentation of their beans a bit lackluster (large trash pails on wheels), but the beans themselves were even more disappointing: they lacked any oil at all and have failed to prove satisfactory with any brew method I’ve tried. The only positive part of this experience is that it inspired me to find somewhere else to buy coffee: a great little place just outside of Lexington called Caffe Marco: it’s everything Coffee Times is not. So, the moral of this story: learn from my mistakes. Skip the huge disappointment and bad coffee and head to Caffe Marco.

Good lemon creme cake!. I really like Coffee Times. The coffe is fair to middling (chai and hot chocolate are too sweet/processed-tasting for my taste), but the atmosphere is really nice. A good place to read and hang out. There are vegan and wheat-free pastry options, which are provided by Good Foods co-op.

Coffee Times – fantastic. Coffee Times is a must visit for Lexitonians and visitors. Very chill, super cozy, and plenty of fresh coffees, teas, pastries, and organic goodies to try. I always leave Coffee Times feeling good about life. There’s a happiness there that seems to follow you right out the door. I’ll blame it on the amazing homemade cakes! Take your family and friends and have a cup of joe or hot tea – relax and chat with no worries. Bring about $10 to try a few things, and you’ll want to bring more money because you won’t be able to resist shopped at Street Scene next door. Very cool, eclectic shop that connects to Coffee Times.

Love Coffee Times. Wish I could go more often. My only complaint is that they should open at 7 so I could go before work every morning and get my chai latte instead of the corporate place I go to. Would love to shop local more, but have to save it for the weekends.

Wonderful place. Very friendly, warm & cozy place to hangout. Only had the coffee so far, but much more homey than others I’ve been to in Lexington.
