We hit CC for brunch today I order the Chilaquiles…… Prob won’t ever order anything else there…..Loved it!!! Everyone one was very satisfied with their choices
Tried this for the first time for Restaurant week in Lexington. If you like warm water, no A/C, and white wonder bread- Ding ding ding you’ve found a winner! The brisket was alright, but the price was not worth the food. When we saw the four slices of white bread on the platter we all laughed. This is a hipster place, all atmosphere no taste buds.
6/10/16 – A co-worker and I tried County Club for lunch – I’d seen it before when eating at Smithtown but had never thought about trying it. I like the steampunk decor of the restaurant – concrete, wood, and steel. Everything about County Club is not cookie cutter – they bring a corked bottle of water to drink before taking your order. Again, pretty cool.I ordered the 193 Burger, hand-cut fries, and sweet tea. This is a $10 burger and I hoped it was worth it. The burger was a bit under cooked (from my preference), it was still pink on the inside. And, I’m not sure what the bacon jam tasted like – I guess I expected a spread that tasted like bacon? The ketchup on the burger was really good (I know that sounds stupid, but it was probably the best thing about the burger). I’d like to see a little different presentation on the plate – to make the burger seem bigger (maybe leave the top bun off of the meat) to make the customer feel they are getting their money’s worth. The hand-cut fries were good – but I received mostly short, ends and pieces (the crunchies, as my wife calls them). The sweet tea was interesting (I don’t think I’ve ever had cold-brewed tea before) – it was something I’d try again.I’ll go back to try County Club again…now that I know what to expect and maybe order a little differently.
This is the 2nd time we gave this place a try. Both times, warm water before our meal, warm beer, overpriced al a cart meal. Last time for us.
Excellent food and service. Tight space but fun spot. It doesn’t try to be more than it is, but does so well with what they do. Try it if you haven’t.
Smoked meat sandwich is amazing, they had an awesome brisket with pesto sauce(hint of spicy) that was great as well. Cool outdoor seating give a great atmosphere for a date night.
Food is average and has higher than expected prices. Seems like it may be part of a trend I may not be part of. A little difficult to find parking and a little small for my taste.
