The food here is great! Completely on par with Heirloom. You are missing out on an amazing meal! Great service and atmosphere too.

Two Times is a Winner. My wife and I have eaten at the restaurant at the Gratz Park Inn many times since 2003. While Jonathans was passable, we never talked about it nor looked forward to returning. Distilled is another story. Our first try was during one of Lexingtons snow storms. We had gotten into the car to meet friends outside town but found the roads so slippery that all we did was drive around the block. Our friends fortunately had 4 wheel drive and were adventurous and we ended up at Distilled. In the restaurant, there was only one other table occupied. The food was fabulous and very well presented. Service was great but we suspected that might best be attributed to the high staff to patron ratio that night. Easter Sunday we tried a second time. The menu was prix fixe with 3 courses and a choice 3 for each course. There were 3 of us at our table and by chance with the exception of one course, we sampled all choices. Once again the food and presentation was fabulous as was the service despite every table being occupied. We are transitioning from our long time home in southern Maryland where everyone is quite astute at evaluating crab cakes. Distilled had as one of the first course choices a crab cake unlike any I had experienced in my 50 years as a resident of Maryland. The menu described it as: Crab Cake, English Pea-Fennel Veloute, Marinated Artichoke Salad, Lemon Aioli, Pickled Fresno. The highlight of the second course was Coffee Rubbed Filet, Hash, 60 Minute Egg, Frisee, Red Eye Gravy. Finally my dessert was Chocolate Torte, Orange Marmalade, Pecan Tuille, Milk Crumb, Smoked Vanilla Ice Cream. Without hesitation we recommend you try it.

We had a great experience! Food was fantastic, service was great, and you could actually hear the table conversation even though the restaurant was full. Definitely recommend the Filet and Henry burger, and for starters the Tasting of Country Ham and Mixed Lettuce Salad. We’ll definitely go back!

Well executed. I was …. Well executed. I was on the fence about wanting to try Distilled due to mixed reviews and I’m glad I did. The jars appetizer was a carnival of flavors with all of the best rides. I had the Berkshire pork chop and it was cooked perfectly and honestly the best pork chop I’ve ever eaten. Two others had the fried chicken, which I sampled and it was excellent. Perfectly seasoned, the gravy was just right, the biscuits were the low point of that dish as they were only mediocre. I had the signature bourbon cocktail, the name escapes me, and it was superb. The citrus notes came through and worked well with the bourbon. The noise level was normal when we first arrived but by the time we left we couldn’t hear each other talking. I will definitely return and would recommend Distilled to anyone!

Still good but even better. They have changed their menu since the last time I was here. I like the new menu, but I also liked the old one! If you want a nice night out for a special occasion, you should try Distilled. It is really beautiful and unique. I have had the short rib ragout and the carrot soup. My husband had a steak which was very flavorful. I did notice that the service was better on my second visit. Also, good drinks!

Tasty New Restaurant. Downtown Lexington has a great new spot! Took my wife out for a night on the town and decided to try this place, we have a great fondness for Heirloom in Midway and knew that chef Mark opened up Distilled. We had the Sea Bass and the Fried Chicken, both were delicious and presented very nicely. Cocktails were out of this world as well, plus a great Bourbon selection. We will be back.
